The end of October was defined by the commencement of Operation 1027 in Northern Shan State, which saw a massive escalation in resistance activity and the capture of dozens of junta installations. Simultaneously, military forces continued intensive arson and arrest campaigns across the central Dry Zone, particularly in Sagaing and Magway regions.
Key Events
- October 27: The Three Brotherhood Alliance launched Operation 1027, successfully occupying Chin Shwe Hao City in Laukkai Township, Northern Shan State.
- October 30: The MNDAA confirmed the seizure of 70 SAC military camps during the first four days of the offensive in Northern Shan State.
- October 25: SAC forces burned down 34 houses across seven different villages in Yesagyo Township, Magway Region.
- October 31: KIA forces captured two military camps in Kan Doian and Malian near the town of Vang Mao in Bhamo Township, Kachin State.
- October 26: Five civilians were killed when military forces burned six villages along the banks of the Irrawaddy River in Madaya and Singu Townships, Mandalay Region.
