Resistance activity remained high in Sagaing and Bago, while Mandalay saw a sharp rise in civilian arrests. The junta intensified attacks on civilian targets, including schools and refugee camps, alongside increasing diplomatic engagement with Russia regarding election support.

Key Events

On September 9, junta fighter jets attacked a school in Htee Gaw Htar village, Hpapun Township, reportedly killing three children and one civilian.
Five SAC police officers were killed on September 10 when PDF forces raided the Kan Kyin police station in Paukkhaung Township, Bago Region.
Junta forces conducted a mass arrest of more than 60 civilians in Nganzun Township, Mandalay Region, on September 12.
Major clashes in Bago Region on September 11 resulted in a reported 40 junta fatalities across Taungoo and Yedashe townships.
The Military Council strengthened international ties, meeting with Russian officials to discuss bilateral treaties and assistance for upcoming elections.
