This period was marked by high-intensity clashes in Sagaing and Chin State, where resistance forces suffered significant casualties from junta airstrikes and shelling. Systematic arson campaigns continued in Magway and Sagaing, while the military junta faced substantial troop losses in Tanintharyi and Mon regions.
Key Events
- On August 28, eleven members of a Chin armed group were killed during intense airstrikes and howitzer shelling by junta forces in Thantlang township, Chin State.
- A major clash in Thantlang township on August 29 resulted in the deaths of 30 SAC soldiers and 13 CDF fighters.
- On August 27, resistance forces killed 25 SAC soldiers during a clash between Ka Myine and Ya Nge villages in Thayetchaung township, Tanintharyi region.
