Conflict intensified across central and northern Myanmar, with resistance forces inflicting heavy casualties on the military in Bago and Sagaing. The period was marked by significant infrastructure loss for the SAC and continued aerial attacks on civilian and displaced persons' settlements.
Key Events
- July 24: A major clash near Nan Za village in Kyauktaga township, Bago Region, resulted in 41 SAC soldiers killed and 40 injured.
- July 30: A fierce engagement in the upper part of Kyauk Myauing city, Shwebo township, left 37 SAC soldiers dead and approximately 70 others wounded.
- July 28: SAC fighter jets conducted airstrikes near the KIA headquarters in Kachin State, destroying homes between Ma D Yan and Aung Jar Yan villages.
- July 31: The Karenni Army successfully seized a Military Council weapons garage in Kayah State containing 120-mm heavy weapons.
