Key Events
- On April 18, the Arakan Army (AA) successfully captured a Military Council position in Pandaunggyi village, Lay Myint Na Township, Ayeyarwady Region.
- KNLA joint forces seized the Htet Hta strategic camp in Hlaing Bwe Township, Karen State, on April 19, resulting in the death of a SAC strategic commander.
- The Military Council pardoned 4,893 prisoners across the country on April 17 to mark the Myanmar New Year.
- MNDAA forces began a withdrawal from Lashio in northern Shan State following a meeting between military representatives, the MNDAA, and Chinese officials.
- Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim conducted high-level diplomacy, meeting with SAC leader Min Aung Hlaing in Bangkok and NUG Prime Minister Mahn Win Khaing Than via teleconference.
